Day 5. Aushwitz Birkenau

We wanted to be the first ones to get to Auschwitz so we got up at 6.00. We booked a group tour a day before and when we got there the weather was still cloudy from the previous day. We were thoroughly checked before we got in and we started the tour with a video that gave us a virtual tour of Auschwitz. When I first stepped through the arches of Arbeit macht frei it gave me chills. We were taken by an English guide through Aushwitz and things that I heard will stay with me forever. Unfortunately, there were also tourists and one couple decided to have a photo shooting during our tour. A guy wanted a picture in front of a wall where they were shooting people and a guide told him he is being very disrespectful. I thought that too but didn't want to say anything since I'm not a trouble seeker. Unfortunately, we couldn't go to Birkenau since we had a 7-hour drive ahead of us. We arrived in Budapest at 19.00 and decided to grab a bite to eat in no other than Mc'donalds. After that, we went to the place that we reserved on Airbnb and when we got there we realized that we got scammed. I specifically arranged that we will have an entire place for ourselves and it was also promised to us in that way. But when we got there we found that that this is a hostel with a shared bathroom and kitchen. We found there also an Italian couple that was promised the same as us and got scammed. They rebooked a hotel but we decided to suck it up since it was cheap and only for two nights.
